Gyan Yug Diwas celebrated

MAHARISHI CENTRE for Educational Excellence (MCEE), Berasia Road, Bhopal celebrated ?Gyan Yug Diwas? by presenting a colourful cultural fiesta on January 12, the birthday of Maharishi Mahesh Yogi.

MAHARISHI CENTRE for Educational Excellence (MCEE), Berasia Road, Bhopal celebrated ‘Gyan Yug Diwas’ by presenting a colourful cultural fiesta on January 12, the birthday of Maharishi Mahesh Yogi.

Music, dance, humorous plays and graceful ballets were a part of this entertaining programme which began with the chanting of Ved mantras followed by Saraswati Vandana which depicted a rich Vedic culture.

Tiny tots wished his Holiness Maharishi Mahesh Yogi on his birthday by singing a melodious birthday song. A ‘qawwali’ and innovative dance ‘Rang de Basanti’ based on communal harmony and love for motherland captivated the audience.

The highlight of the programme was the sequence of scintillating dances ‘Krishna Leela’ and ‘Kathak Jugal Bandi’ on various aspects of Lord Krishna.

The graceful and creative presentation ‘Mahishasur Mardini’ highlighted the worship of deity ‘Durga’. Acting skills displayed in the Hindi play and a witty English skit ‘A Wise Man’ won applauds. The amazing presentation of small children ‘Save our Environment’ highlighting the importance of trees and conservation of wildlife enthralled the audience. School principal Dr Rekha Ranade presented the Annual School Report.

BMHRC director Brigadier Dr KK Moudar who was the guest of honour complimented students and teachers for a wonderful programme.
