“Most of the problems have come up because of the officials,” said a livid Chatko, who was here for the test event at the Indira Gandhi Indoor Stadium.

. “They have failed in everything, be it the delivery of equipment on time, or providing proper infrastructure and facilities,” he added.

The Belarusian coach also blamed officials for the poor conduct of the event underway at the venue. “The officials here don’t know how to conduct anything. The mismanagement, paucity of equipment, and a stadium with a leaky roof, is actually not what I had expected just before the Games,” he said. “My point is, everything could be fixed, but CWG officials have conveniently turned a deaf ear. I tell them about insufficient number of mats, the poor facilities but they don’t pay heed. They don’t believe in communicating,” said Chatko.

When asked if he apprised the Organising Committee of the mismanagement, Chatko replied, “I just don’t know who to talk to as nobody communicates with me. It’s a mess.”
