HAIER APPLIANCES India Private Limited expects a growth of 240 per cent at the end of current financial year. The exclusive outlet Planet Haier in Indore has generated result much beyond expectations.
Company whole time director Pranay Dhabhai said this on his visit to the City today. Dhabhai told Hindustan Times that Haier recently launched the digital DC converter air-conditioner and also sponsored the MTV Asia Awards.
This air-conditioner runs on digital DC inverter technology and saves up to 51 per cent power. Haier showroom encompasses products like air-conditioners, refrigerators, washing machines, television, microwave oven and many other appliances. The price range begins at Rs 5,900 and goes up to Rs 3.5 lakh for these products.
Dhabhai stated that the company has 16 Planet Haier showrooms in India and a network of 4,500 dealers. It is just a two-year-old company in India, he said. In the Sate, the company has showrooms in Gwalior and Jabalpur other than Indore.
With manufacturing units in 22 countries and presence in 166 countries, Haier stands as the largest producer of refrigerators in the world. Talking about future plans, Dhabhai revealed that the company would open an outlet in Bhopal and launch some new models. He said that Haier has 15,100 models and its 18 research centres develop 1.3 new products everyday.
