Other parts of the state including the capital would also experience light thunderstorm and rain activities during this period, the met office has said.

The met office has issued a warning of hailstorm in next 24 hours for Gwalior, Chambal, Sagar, Jabalpur and Rewa divisions.

The stage for weather change was set on Tuesday when various parts of the state experienced thunderstorm activity and also rains. The capital also received at least two spells of moderate rains along with high velocity winds and dust storms.

Bhopal airport recorded 4.2 mm of rains between 8.30 am and 5.30 pm on Tuesday while city recorded 3.0 mm of rains during this period.

The Regional Meteorological Centre director Dr DP Dubey has said that once this weather activity subsides the temperatures across state would take a dip. The day temperatures took a dip on Tuesday itself, with Bhopal recording as low as 23.2 degrees of maximum temperature - five degrees less than normal of the season. The night temperature in city also took a bit of dip and was recorded at 12.4 degrees on night intervening Monday and Tuesday.

Dr Dubey said that moisture was being incurred by the upper air circulation system from both Arabian Sea and the Bay of Bengal and thus the thunderstorm and hailstorm activity in Eastern MP.
