Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, in a stunning tulle Elie Saab couture gown, was all set to score a perfect 10 on the red carpet of 63rd Cannes film festival, but her ‘bird’s nest’ hairdo let her down.
The actress blew kisses on the red carpet on Wednesday, alongside Hollywood beauty Eva Longoria Parker at the screening of Ridley Scott’s
Robin Hood
. While her choice of the dress was appreciated by most style critics, her hairstyle, with a voluminous pouf above her forehead is being panned for being ‘too matronly’.
“Loved the scalloped details on Aishwarya’s gown. Hated the hairdo, too much volume,” posted Kelly, on a fashion blog. “Ash is such a stunner but ugh, the hair doesn’t do her justice. Turns something that could’ve been so divine into matronly,” blogs Ela24.
Interestingly, Ash’s red carpet appearance was courtesy hair care brand, L’Oreal, which too, was not spared for the style disaster. “C’mon L’Oreal… you flew aishwarya rai all the way from India, and then this hair!,” said Anon.
