Travelling by train in a special cage, the cub is expected to reach Raipur on Monday.

Last year, the cub was found wandering alone by Kaziranga forest guards at the park’s Burapahar Range. Several attempts were made to reunite the cub with its mother before it was shifted to the rehabilitation centre for hand-raising.

“This tiger being moved to Nandan Zoo in Raipur is the second hand-raised one after an adult male was sent to Van Vihar Zoo in Bhopal last year,” Kaziranga park director and CWRC project leader Sanjib Kumar Bora said.
