CHAIRMAN OF the All-India Handloom Board, Hazi Rahamtullah Ansari, said there was a lot of employment opportunity for youths in the field of handloom technology.

Speaking as the chief guest at a national seminar on ‘Handicrafts and Rural Development’ organised by the MGKV on Friday, he said handicrafts export could strengthen the economy of the country. Vice-chancellor of MGKV, Prof SS Kushwaha, while addressing the function said modern time was of self-employment through job oriented courses. Youths could play a vital role through self-employment in national development.
On the occasion, Mufti- e- Shahar, Maulana Abdul Batin and several others were also felicitated. The function was conducted by Dr Durgesh Tripathi.
Inspection by Parliamentary Samiti
SEVEN-MEMBER DELEGATION of Rajbhasha Parliamentary Samiti arrived in city on Friday.
The Samiti, headed by Chaudhary Jai Prakash Singh, conducted inspection at the Archeological department of Banaras Hindu University, offices of Bharat Petroleum, Nehru Yuva Kendra and other places and got apprised about their functioning in Hindi language during its two-day visit. After visiting Sarnath area, the Samiti flew back to New Delhi.
