The construction of Hanover stadium was completed way before its schedule in December 2004. Around ? 64 million was spent to reconstruct the old Niedersachsenstadion.

Special emphasis was laid to build a high-tech roof sections directly over the pitch. The ultra-violet permeable foil caters to provide optimum light on the pitch.

Other features in the stadium include a roof-mounted lighting system, two 41 sq m LED video walls and a 26,000 watt PA system.
