For once, enjoy the sweet rush guilt-free, after you’ve devoured a whole piece of chocolate cake. Chefs say chocolate makes one happy. So do pasta, cheese, coffee and even biryani. Hard to believe? Chocolate fix
Chef Max, of Penne Bar and Restaurant, says, “The first thing one would crave for early in the morning is chai. Of course, chocolate tops the list when it comes to food that makes you happy. Then there’s the seasonal fruit- mango, salads with goat cheese, mocktails with fresh fruits.”

He adds that the otherwise calorie-loaded prawn masala, biryani, lobsters and the all-time favourite, Bombil fry, can offer instant gratification too. The food of the rich is also the food of happiness.

Rich feeling

Chef Abdul P Ansari, of

Café Basilico

, says, “The feeling of contentment is often known to be higher when people indulge in expensive foods like asparagus, penne paprika pasta, parmesan cheese and so on.”

For the diabetic, there are the sugar-free sweets out there to be explored. So stop counting calories and start eating.
