The governing body is scheduled to meet on Wednesday.

Justice P Anil Kumar delivered the judgment on a fresh application by Venugopal last week seeking court intervention against any move by the governing body to terminate his services. He directed the governing body not to take up for consideration any proposal seeking the controversial director's removal.

The judge directed the governing body to comply with the order until after the disposal of two petitions — one by Venugopal challenging the termination of his services and the other by a group of doctors who pleaded that his tenure had ended.

The high court had stayed the removal of Venugopal earlier this year. The governing body had decided to remove the renowned cardiologist from the post of director on grounds of misconduct.
