The Kerala High Court on Monday directed the Kochi corporation and PWD to ensure that roads in Kochi are repaired before April 30 next year.

Justice Thothathil B Radhakrishnan issued the direction while considering a petition complaining about the sad plight of roads in the city.

Earlier, the court had appointed a monitoring committee to oversee repair and restoration of roads.
Considering the report, the court directed T K Jose, Nodal officer and Managing Director of the Kerala Roads and Bridges Corporation, to file a report regarding the present stage of the roads within five weeks.
