Taking a serious note of the events, a division bench of the High Court, comprising Justices OP Srivastava and Shailendra Saxena, cancelled Suresh’s bail.

By then, he had already murdered three people, the last two when he was on bail.

Suresh, a Pratapgarh resident, was first arrested for murdering one Nathu. The Pratapgarh Sessions Court convicted him in 1983. In appeal against the first conviction, he was released on bail. He then murdered Nathu’s wife. He was arrested and convicted of the crime.

He filed an appeal against the second conviction and was released on bail.

During the bail period, he murdered Vinod, another witness to the first crime. He was convicted for this as well.

He appealed against the third conviction. Justice NK Mehrotra of the Lucknow Bench of the High Court granted him bail.

But one Dinesh challenged the single judge’s order.
