The Lucknow bench of Allahabad High Court on Friday fixed June 17 for hearing the writ petition of Amarmani Tripathi, former state minister and main accused in poetess Madhumita Shukla murder case.

He was seeking permission for attending the ongoing Uttar Pradesh assembly session.
Justice Rakesh Sharma passed this order on a petition filed by Tripathi, presently detained in Lucknow jail through his counsel Nalin Jain.
CBI counsel Vireshwar Nath, however, strongly opposed the petition.
