There is some good news for cricket buffs willing to pay and catch the India-England One-day cricket action on October 17. The Delhi High Court on Thursday ruled that the DDCA shall not earmark more than 15,000 tickets as complimentary passes.
The order means that at least 30,000 tickets will be available for the public willing to buy them in the 45,000-seat capacity stadium. Justice AK Pathak, however, made it clear that the tickets left unsold till four hours before the start shall be issued as complimentary passes.
Usually, complimentary passes are given to officials and families of the 4,200 members and special invitees, present and former Ranji players, first-class umpires, BCCI members and affiliated clubs.
They are also distributed among the Central and Delhi government officials.
