"It is an extremely positive step that the High Court has taken by admitting the appeal (of the Delhi Police challenging the acquittal). Our fears have been allayed that the accused may leave the country," Jessica's sister Sabrina told reporters.

The High Court today admitted the appeal filed by the Delhi Police challenging the acquittal of Manu Sharma and eight others accused of killing Jessica Lall on the night of April 29, 1999.

It also issued bailable warrants against all those acquitted by the trial court in the murder case of the model.

Sabrina said she was very scared about the possibility of the accused going out of the country.

"Basic idea was to keep them in India so that they could not run away. That fear has been removed now," she said.
