A Division Bench comprising Justices AK Yog and SK Jain directed the district authorities to file the progress report soon. During the course of hearing, advocate SK Garg , convener of the committee appointed by the court, said that the vice-chairman of Allahabad Development Authority (ADA) and the district magistrate after taking into account all aspect, found this project attractive and useful. The ADA has already sent the project report for financial grant for the programme so that it is implemented as asked by the court in its earlier order dated October 17, 2006.

Earlier, Advocate-General SMA Kazmi assured the court to co-ordinate and ensure availability of requisite funds for the project. Besides, chief standing counsel CB Yadav affirmed that lack of fund would not hamper the implementation of this much-hyped project. He also assured the court to contact the chief secretary, principal secretary (finance), principal secretary (tourism) as well as principal secretary (nagar vikas) in this respect.

The court also passed the above directives on a PIL filed by a social worker of Allahabad, Anand Mohan. Earlier, the court directed the district administration to start the project at the time of Ardh Kumbh in 2007.
