The Delhi high court on Thursday threatened agitating Air India pilots with contempt of court for “flagrant” defiance of its order to end the strike.

The pilots had moved court against the HC’s May 9 declaration that the strike was illegal.

“No litigant can avail of any discretionary remedy from the court by willfully and flagrantly disobeying the orders of the court,” the bench said, adding that it was open to initiating contempt proceedings.
