Fervently hoping for better Indo-Pak ties, Harpreet Singh along with his wife Krishna and three-year-old son reached Wagah driving his car in back gear from Ferozpur district, a distance of 50 km.

"I drive my car in reverse gear with the sole purpose of spreading the message of peace among people of two neighbouring countries," he said soon after his arrival.

Urging leadership of both the countries to allow him to cross over to Pakistan, Harpreet said he wanted to drive his car in reverse gear from Lahore to Islamabad to deliver his message of peace.

Harpreet claimed perfection in driving his car in reverse gear at a high speed.
