Oh, it's the latest David Headley Chase. I am looking for those parts where he talks about making preparations for the 26/11 Mumbai terrorist attacks.

Er, I think you've got the late British writer mixed up with the terrorist-suspect David Coleman Headley.

Oh dear. You may be right. But isn't the name James Headley Chase the pseudonym of Daood Gilani, the suspected Lashkar-e-Tayyeba operative whom American authorities have arrested for suspected plans to carry out strikes in India?

No. James Hadley Chase's real name was Rene Brabazon Raymond and he never had terrorist links despite writing lines like, “Do you know how much this weekend's going to cost me?” he asks Eve. "Two friends, $30,000 …and a wife."

[Throws book out of the window] What a strange name for a jihadi. You think he changed his name to dodge immigration security?

Well, he went to a Mumbai gym where his trainer tells me that he was indeed a James Hadley Chase fan and thus his name change.

Don’t say: Has Dawood Ibrahim changed his name to Bill Gates V?
