The MP Health Employees’ Association has expressed its dissatisfaction on matter saying many employees in the health department have been awaiting promotions for the past seven years.

These employees could well be promoted and posted in the seven offices of divisional joint directors that have recently been revived by the State Cabinet.

The Cabinet has approved restarting these offices in Bhopal, Indore, Gwalior, Jabalpur, Rewa, Sagar and Ujjain divisions. About 336 posts are to be filled up in these offices.

“The State Government is planning to post health department officers and doctors on Class-I and II posts but it intends to fill up the Class-III posts through surplus employees of other departments,” alleged Health Employees’ Association spokesperson Laxminarayan Sharma.

“Many health department employees already awaiting promotions for past seven years will again be denied their rights if that happens,” Sharma charged.
