Hearing in Aarushi case deferred

A CBI court deferred the framing of charges in Aarushi-Hemraj murder case till Tuesday. Lawyers for the two accused, Dr Rajesh Talwar and Dr Nupur Talwar, had sought 15 days time for preparation of defence against charges but the court denied it.

A CBI court deferred the framing of charges in Aarushi-Hemraj murder case till Tuesday. Lawyers for the two accused, Dr Rajesh Talwar and Dr Nupur Talwar, had sought 15 days time for preparation of defence against charges but the court denied it.

The court the plea by the lawyers for the Talwars, saying that the Supreme Court had ordered expeditious hearing on the case in its January 6 order and no extended time can be given. CBI senior public prosecutor RK Saini told reporters that Talwars were buying time at Ghaziabad court in hope of an order over Nupur Talwar's review-petition over which the SC has reserved its order.
