Chief Judicial Magistrate MY Akhoon set the next date of hearing for July 15 and directed the CBI to provide a copy of the chargesheet to the accused by then.

Nine of the accused were present in court.

The judge was forced to adjourn the matter as the accused and some of their relatives raised slogans and created noisy scenes, disrupting court proceedings.

The nine accused who filed bail applications are: besides Mir and Mattoo, BSF DIG KS Padhi, Deputy Superintendent of Police Mohammad Ashraf Mir, IAS officer MI Khanday, Mehrajuddin Malik and Shabir Ahmad Langu, former additional advocate general Anil Sethi and alleged kingpin of the racket Sabeena.

The bail applications of Khanday, who was not present in court today, and Ghulam Ahmad Mir have been listed for arguments on Saturday.

The judge had sought objections from the accused to the CBI plea but only Sunil Sethi representing Anil Sethi had filed the objections.

However, the judge ruled that the objections were not filed by the stipulated time.
