Intense heat wave sweeping Madhya Pradesh has claimed three lives in the state since Monday, police said Tuesday.

A 50-year-old man died due to severe heat in Sagar Monday evening, while another youth was found dead under a mango tree on NH 26, they said.

On Monday, Khajuraho was the hottest place in state with a day temperature of 46.7 degrees C and the capital sweltered at 44.3 degrees C.
