The region is receiving showers since Tuesday.

Road connectivity from Bhamragarh to Gadchiroli district HQ has been cut off as river Parnkula was overflowing, disrupting vehicular traffic, they said.

Roads in Aamori and Chamorshi taluka places in Gadchiroli were also flooded. Heavy rainfall in these two districts is threatening to damage crops.

Flooding in both districts has been caused due to heavy rain in catchment areas in Seoni and Balaghat districts of Madhya Pradesh, they said.

The situation is under control in Nagpur city, but district authorities have alerted people living in low-lying areas along the Nag river.

The Regional Meteorological Centre here has predicted heavy rains during the next 24 hours in and around Nagpur.
