Heritage walk held at GMC

A HERITAGE walk was organised at Gandhi Medical College (GMC) Bhopal on January 26 to make students aware of the ancient cultural landmarks existing there. GMC Dean Dr Nirbhay Srivastava inaugurated the event organised by Dr S K Patne and the members of Bhopal medicos group, a group of GMC students. Several students took part in the walk.

The participants viewed the historical ‘majnu ka tila’ and trekked on the fort wall around the campus. The students were shown the 100-year old ‘Prince of Wales Hospital’, world’s smallest mosque ‘Masjid Dhai Seedi’ and the tomb of ‘Dost Mohammad’, founder of Bhopal, located on the college campus.

This was the first scheduled programme formulated and conducted by the Bhopal medicos group that has also launched a website.
