The film, which has a record number of 14 characters, has been made with an entirely new cast and should be ready for an August release. Kohli's son, Purab, who was last seen in "My Brother Nikhil", will be playing the central character, reports Bollywood Trade.

"I deliberately opted for a new cast since I did not want the image of any star to dilute the impact of the narrative. It seemed ideal to shoot the film with newcomers and allow the story to be the main focus of the film instead of the actor," Kohli says.

He adds that one reason he took a break from his demanding hotel business to make a film was the multiplex culture, which encouraged new genres with newcomers.

He describes his film as an edge-of-the-seat thriller with an undercurrent of comedy. The identity of the killer was kept a tight secret even during the shooting of the film. "Even the artistes in the film were left guessing... I chose to keep it that way because it kept the excitement going," he says.
