Hisar sizzled at 45.7 degrees celsius as heat wave swept most parts of Punjab and Haryana on Wednesday.
While Hisar was hotter by four degrees than normal, sweltering conditions also prevailed in Amritsar in Punjab, where
the maximum settled at 42 C, up three degrees, the Meteorological
Department said in Chandigarh.
Ludhiana and Patiala also braved a hot day registering respective maximums of 42.1 C and 42 C.
