Apropos of the infographics Can the North Korean missiles reach the US? (July 7), I would like to point out that the sea between Korea and Japan which has been addressed as ‘Sea of Japan’ should be addressed as ‘East Sea’. As per the government of the Republic of Korea, it is inappropriate to name this sea after any country because it is historically unfair and a source of discord among neighbouring countries. The Korean government has proposed the term ‘East Sea’, the English translation of the sea’s historical name ‘Donghae’.
