History-sheeter arrested, arms recovered

A history-sheeter, wanted in several cases of loot and murder and carrying a reward of rs 2,500 on his head, was arrested on Saturday.

A history-sheeter, wanted in several cases of loot and murder and carrying a reward of rs 2,500 on his head, was arrested in Allahabad on Saturday, police said.

They said Kishen Kumar, who had been absconding for the last seven years, and wanted in a number of cases in Allahabad and neighbouring districts, was arrested in the Kaundhiyara police station area on Saturday afternoon.

A .315 Bore gun and some ammunition have been recovered from his possession, police said adding that a number of cases involving loot and murder were expected to be solved following the arrest.
