While our tinsel town celebs are fighting the ongoing conscientious must-tweet-must-abstain war, Hollywood has seen break-ups, embarrassing profile blocks and even raged follower wars. Here’s a list of updates we like.CNN and Ashton Kutcher raged the ‘who-will-get-a-million-followers-first’ war last year. Not only did Kutcher ace the popularity contest, but he also raised money for his charity by pledging a few dollars for every new follower added.

Anything for benevolence!Teen tweeter Miley Cyrus was forced to quit Twitter because of the hate mail she was receiving following her tweet over gay marriages. Many teen hearts broke worldwide that day.Kanye West blogged about his former Twitter obsession. “I don’t have a f***ing Twitter account. Losers make accounts on Twitter.”

Needless to say, the statement won him many counter tweets by his fellow Beverly Hills tweeple. Not just Twitter, Facebook too has its share of haters in Hollywood. George Clooney would rather call it Hatebook. When asked why he wasn’t active on the social networking site, the actor told the media that he “would rather have a prostate exam on live television by a guy with very cold hands, than have a Facebook page”.

Washing dirty linen in public, or in this case, the World Wide Web, is just a done thing. Lindsay Lohan and daddy Michael Lohan have been warring on Twitter all of last week. After Michael exploited his child’s problems in a press conference last week, Lindsay lashed out at her dad on Twitter sparking a daylong Twitter war between the two. They made for interesting timelines of the day.
