More than 50,000 flats are being constructed by reputed builders in the area.

The protesters marched towards NH-2 and torched the effigies of district and state government officials at Ajronda Chowk. This hit the traffic in the area for sometime. They later marched towards the deputy commissioner’s office in Sector 15 to hand over a memorandum to him.

Additional DC Pradeep Godhara assured the protesters that deputy commissioner Rakesh Gupta would hear their problems on Monday.

“I don’t understand why development activities have not yet started here,” said Seema Joshi, an investor from Dwarka.

“I pay Rs 15,000 as rent in Noida and also have to shell out Rs 25,000 as EMI. But I am not shifting in my flat in Greater Faridabad due to lack of basic facilities,” said Manish Gupta, a protester.
