Homeopathy can prevent and cure Chikungunya, doctors at a government hospital at Kozhikode claimed.
Homeo medicines such as Uppttorium, Rextokes and Brayonia were effective for the prevention and cure of the disease, Government Homeopathic Medical College Principal Abdul Rehman said in a release at Kozhikode on Monday.
He said this opinion was derived at a day-long seminar attended by many expert faculty members and students of the Hospital at Kozhikode.
The Andhra Pradesh Government had already distributed these medicines among about two lakh patients in the state, he said adding a majority of patients in Tamil Nadu and Karnataka were also under homeo treatment for the disease.
He said the hospital was prepared to offer treatment to the affected patients in Kerala, from where many Chikungunya cases were reported recently.
