A dozen people died and seven others were admitted to hospital after consuming liquor on Sunday from an illegal liquor shop at Amlapuram in Andhra Pradesh’s East Godavari district.
Seven people died on Monday, five others on Tuesday, the police said.

The police arrested P. Ramakrishna, the owner of the shop. The victims’ families protested in front of the revenue office in Amlapuram demanding action against the accused and the excise officials.
