The CID had sent the professor's heart to the hospital, which returned it on Tuesday. The CID will properly pack the heart and send it again to the hospital.

The district hospital and police administration shrugged off their responsibilities in this matter saying the whole matter was with the CBI.

Prof Sabharwal died on August 26 when students, irked over the postponement of student unions election, attacked him. A statewide bandh was organised by the Congress on Tuesday to protest the alleged murder.
