Broadcast and sound technicians install, repair, and operate the electronic equipment used to record and transmit radio, television and cable programmes and motion pictures.

You should be able under pressure and possess good communicating skills. You should have normal colour vision. An aptitude for working with electronic, and mechanical systems and equipment is essential.
Education path
A degree in engineering or electronics is vital if you hope to advance to supervisory positions. Diploma in electronics engineering, digital electronics and telecommunication engineering after Class 10 + 2 with physics, chemistry and mathematics. BSc in physics or electronics followed by MSc in physics or electronics for a diploma in sound engineering.
A degree in physics or electronics with science at +2 level is preferred for audiography courses.
The official media directly recruits production assistants — graduates fluent in a regional language besides English and Hindi.
Job opportunities
Radio stations or recording studios, television stations or movie sound tracks. In the movie industry people are hired as apprentices and work their way up.Experienced freelance technicians are hired on project basis. Central and state ministries have their independent audio-video departments that advertise their requirements for independent producers, directors and storywriters.You can work full-time or part-time or even free lance.
