TODAY WAS the hottest day of the season in Bhopal as temperature soared to 42.6 degree Celsius, three degree above normal. Scorching heat during daytime has badly hit the normal life over the past few days.

Highest temperature in the month of May in Bhopal was registered at 45.6 degree on May 22, 1947, while the lowest temperature was 17.4 degree on May 4, 1972. At times, thundershowers are also witnessed during the month but usually weather in May remains dry and hot.
