1 Temperature tab:

Most houseplants do well in daytime temperatures between 65-75 degrees F. It should be 10 to 15 degrees lower at night. Don’t place your plant where they are subject to hot or cold air drafts.
2 Moisture please:
Most foliage plants require humidity of at least 15 -20 per cent. Heating the home during the winter reduces the humidity to desert levels. Use a room humidifier or spray the plants with water to retain the humidity.
3 Drain it:
Use pots and containers with drainage holes. Pots can be sterilised by soaking them in a 10:1 solution of chlorine bleach and water.
4 Fertilise well:
Fertilise growing plants every two months, but don't fertilise dormant plants. Plants need less fertiliser under low-light conditions. Burned or dried leaf edges and wilted plants are a sign of excess fertiliser application.
5 Sunny side up:
Plants at the western window are exposed to a much higher temperature. Putting plants outside in the summer often revitalises them. Rotate the plant daily for uniform sunlight.
