How to take care of your furniture

In order to maintain the natural texture and shine of your furniture it is important to keep it away from direct sunlight as this can give it a dull complexion and cause the furniture to tighten and eventually lead to cracks. A properly applied paint /polish gives protection to wood surfaces against UV radiation in sunlight.

Here are some tips on how to take care of your furniture.
1.Protection from sunlight: In order to maintain the natural texture and shine of your furniture it is important to keep it away from direct sunlight as this can give it a dull complexion and cause the furniture to tighten and eventually lead to cracks. A properly applied paint /polish gives protection to wood surfaces against UV radiation in sunlight.

2. Moisture free: Keep furniture away from moisture or dampness. Since wood also breathe, avoid shrinkage or nonalignment. Always use a good lacquer or polish.

3 Termite trouble: In case one sees termite or wood powder, immediately inject the affected spot with recommended insecticide or kerosene.

4 Coating helps: Always coat with clear solvent/ lacquer/sealer just before monsoon for better life of the furniture. Always use good quality furniture polish as it will lessen your chance of expensive refinishing jobs.

5 Dusting wise: Always use a dusting cloth/wiper that can efficiently attract and hold dust and leave furniture spotless. Also use only soft, lint-free, and absorbent cloth for cleaning and polishing.
