Faced with criticism for 30 % hike in bus fare, giving partial relief to commuters, state government, state cabin et on Saturday gave its approval to reduce the minimum bus fare from Rs. 5 to Rs. 3 up to three kilometres.
Earlier, government had increased minimum fare from RS.2 to Rs. 5 and general fare by 30% that has drawn flak from the opposition parties.
Cabinet also approved to award the remaining work of widening and strengthening of Theog- Hatkoti- Rohru road of Shimla's rich apple belt.
