HRTC to run additional buses to tackle Diwali rush

To facilitate commuters on the occasion of Diwali, Himachal Pradesh Road Transport Corporation (HRTC) will run additional buses from Delhi, Chandigarh, Shimla and Baddi to different parts of the state.

To facilitate commuters on the occasion of Diwali, Himachal Pradesh Road Transport Corporation (HRTC) will run additional buses from Delhi, Chandigarh, Shimla and Baddi to different parts of the state.

These buses would start from inter-state bus terminal (ISBT), Delhi, on November 1. Forty buses would run on November 2, besides regular bus service, a spokesman said in a release issued here.

He said 25 additional buses would ply from ISBT, Chandigarh, to different parts of the state on October 31, 47 buses would ply on November 1, while 45 on November 2.

Besides, four additional buses would be deployed on October 30 from ISBT, Shimla, to Chandigarh and other parts of the state, five buses on October 31, 14 on November 1 and 21 on November 2, the spokesman added.

He said additional bus services would also be provided from Baddi in Solan district to different parts of the state, which includes 25 buses on November 1 and 26 buses on November 2 and 8 buses on November 3.
