The news channel ARY One World said that elders of the Meher tribe barricaded themselves after the killing spree in a village near the central Pakistan city of Sukkur.

People practicing the gruesome tribal custom of Karo-Kari used to go scot-free until the parliament declared it a crime of murder a few years ago.
