Police in Allahabad recovered a huge quantity of explosives, arms and ammunition from a house and arrested a man and his two sons in this connection.
The explosives were recovered from the house of one Imtiyaz Husain in Khuldabad police station area of the city where a police party had visited to investigate a complaint lodged by Husain against his own son Shuja, Senior Superintendent of Police A M Jain told reporters here.
He said Imtiyaz had alleged that Shuja had thrown acid on him following a "family feud" and during investigation police came to know that the house had a huge cache of explosives, arms and ammunition.
Following a search, three crude bombs, some other explosives, two country made pistols, one pistol and ammunition of sem-automatic rifle were recovered from the house, the SSP said adding Imtiyaz and his two sons Shuja and Raza were arrested.
A case has been registered against the trio under relevant sections of Arms Act and Explosives Act.
