Actor Hugh Grant and his girlfriend Jemima Khan have launched legal proceedings against a British newspaper over claims it made about their relationship this weekend (June 03'6), insisting the newspaper's sources are made-up.
The libel suit is against an article in the Daily Mail titled 'I never knew he was such a good actor,' and London solicitors Schillings, who are making the claim for the couple, insist the article is "false and defamatory," reports Contactmusic.
Solicitors Schillings warns other publications that since the story's allegation "constitutes the entire, specious, basis for the remainder of the article, it follows that the numerous allegations including supposed quotes from sources are false and indeed fabricated."
Again in an article published on Monday (June 5), the newspaper claimed the pair have been "secretly" engaged for six months, which has yet not been confirmed.
