Security forces have killed a "commander" of the terror outfit Harkat-ul-Jehadi Islami (HuJI) in Kishtwar district, police said on Sunday.

Based on specific information police and security forces launched a joint operation in Sigdi area of Kishtwar district
on Saturday, they said.

An encounter took place between the troops and HuJI district "commander" Rahi alias Mohmmad Amin, when he was
cornered in a hideout, they said adding that one Chinese pistol, 2 magazines, 6 rounds and 4 Chinese grenades were
recovered from the spot.
Amin was involved in the several incidents of militancy, extortions, including the killing of 2 Special Police officers
(SPO) in the area in August this year.
