The moderate faction of Hurriyat Conference, which abstained from the Centre's roundtable conference in February this year, on Saturday said it would take a decision to participate in the second such exercise next month after a thorough deliberation with the amalgam leaders.

"The roundtable is an initiative of Government of India and it has its own importance. We do not want to downplay the importance of any event but we would like to have a consensus among ourselves (the representatives of five regions of Jammu and Kashmir) before moving ahead," moderate Hurriyat leader Abdul Gani Bhat told reporters in Srinagar.

Mirwaiz said Hurriyat Conference had several proposals which needed to be discussed between the leaders of India and Pakistan.

"We have visited Jammu last month..., visited Pakistan three times in six months and interacted with people, leaders and parliamentarians there. Now we will be touring Poonch and Rajouri areas next week," he added.

He said the purpose of making larger interaction with all regions of the state was to achieve unity of thought on possible ways for resolution of Kashmir issue.
