Sukhwinder was in the city to perform at the annual function of PMB Khalsa College on Monday. According to to the singer, whose songs from Jaaneman and Omkara were chartbusters in 2006, he never believed in competition with other singers and was least interested in money minting.

“I never had any particular guru but never forget to seek advice from the seniors whenever I get a chance”. As for the energy and enthusiasm in his voice, Sukhwinder said it was because he always sang from the heart. He rejected the whole idea of talent hunt shows and stressed that it was just a game of viewership between channels and the newcomers are not given any proper training to survive in the industry. This singer has donned
the cap of music director and lyricist for a few movies but none of them left any indelible impression on the audience.

“I am an optimist. I would keep trying to compose more music and would definitely deliver some memorable compositions in the coming year”, expressed Sukhwinder.
