My Delhi: For an outsider, Delhi is synonymous with India Gate and Red Fort. But there is more to Delhi — it is about the Balloon Mela at the Jawahar Lal Nehru stadium, the Golf Club, the millennium city of Gurgaon, chaat in the old city, Sufi music at the dargah of Nizamuddin Auliya and more. That is what I’m going to present in the TV show, Indian Rendezvous.

Carnegie Hall: In the last week of October, I got the honour of playing at the Carnegie Hall in New York for the third time. And the fact that it was to celebrate the centenary of the Satyagraha made it even more special.

Truth about music: My brother Amaan and I launched our lounge album, Truth, in Mumbai this week. It is special since the title track, Truth, has the whole khandaan together.

While my father sang and played for it, we also managed to get our mother inside the studio to sing for us. Also, for the first time we’ve used lyrics so that we reach out to a wider spectrum of music lovers. The album will hit the racks later this week.

Bollywood calling: I am open about films. Indeed, I’ve been offered a couple of films, including the recently-re leased Jai Santoshi Maa. But I would want to be a part of such a script which I would be able to relate to and would enjoy doing. I am open to experiments as well, as it will only help me evolve as a creative person.

(As told to Princy Jain)
