Former Shiv Sena leader Raj Thackeray, who has set out on a state-wide tour ahead of launching a new political party, has launched a veiled criticism on Sena leadership by saying he was not "forming the party to run his house".

Although Raj did not name anybody, the remarks are construed as an attack on the Sena leadership and comes in the backdrop of recent allegations by former Sena leader Narayan Rane that 'Matoshree', the Thackeray family home, was a "den of corruption."

"Matoshree is a one-way street. Money that goes to Matoshree does not come back", Rane had said during a public meeting in Kokan on Tuesday.

At the Nashik meeting, Raj said he would not 'disappoint' his supporters who had come in large numbers to greet him.

Commenting on the 'fatherly advice' of NCP chief Sharad Pawar that he should have fielded candidates in the Konkan bypolls, "I am not power hungry. I don't go by what other people decide on my behalf," Raj said.

"I will also elaborate on the future course of action of the party at a rally at Shivaji Park after the tour", he said.
