Most studios will ask you to take an audition test, in which they will record your narration and store it in their databank, so as to call you whenever there is an opening.

There are also short courses, run mostly by professional DJs and RJs, which can give you the basic training for the job.

Moreover, later, with your computer engineering degree, you may also look at the possibility of working in the area of sound technology in India or abroad. This is an upcoming career.
