President Pervez Musharraf has said that he is not interested in what critics have to say about his policies and his way of governing Pakistan, but more concerned about ensuring continuity of the programmes launched by him during the past seven years.

"I will do things my way," the Daily Times quoted Musharraf as asserting during his interview with the Business Plus channel.
Reiterating that Pakistan would go to polls in 2007, he said that the elections would be held "in a free, fair and transparent manner", and added that while Benazir Bhutto and Nawaz Sharif were ineligible to become prime ministers of the country again, the Election Commission would decide on their participation in the elections.
Musharraf said he had told India that Pakistan was ready for joint investigations into the Mumbai bomb blasts, which were "an act which cannot be pardoned".
